FIELD TRIPS FOR EVERYONE

Leap is here to spark wonder in your youngest learners through creative, immersive, and interdisciplinary experiences. Our field trip programs for Pre-K to 12th grade are designed to nurture curiosity, support foundational skills, and bring big ideas to life through storytelling, sensory learning, music, arts, and collaborative play.

Pizza Making

Duration: 90 Minutes

Available in person at Leap

In this hands-on culinary experience, children discover the art of pizza making from dough to oven. Through storytelling, sensory exploration, and guided cooking, students learn how simple ingredients come together to create one of the world’s most beloved foods. Children knead dough, add toppings, and bake their own pizza while exploring traditions of Italian cuisine and the joy of sharing food.

Cookie Baking

Duration: 90 Minutes

Available in person at Leap

In this sweet and engaging baking workshop, students explore the science of cookies while creating their own delicious treats. Children measure ingredients, mix dough, and observe how heat transforms batter into baked cookies. Through guided experimentation and storytelling, students learn about the role of ingredients and the traditions of baking across cultures.

Woodshop Workshop

Duration: 90 Minutes

Available in person at Leap

In this creative building workshop, students explore the basics of woodworking while designing and constructing simple objects. Children learn to safely handle basic tools, measure materials, and assemble wooden pieces to bring their ideas to life. Through hands-on building and collaborative problem solving, students discover the creativity, patience, and craftsmanship involved in woodworking.

Mission to the Stars 

Duration: 90 Minutes - 2 Hours

Get ready to blast off! In this space-themed adventure, children become astronauts exploring stars, planets, and the moon. Through storytelling, music, STEAM activities, and role-play, students learn about plants and the stars, and even experience a mini planetarium.

Cardboard Architects

Duration: 90 Minutes - 2 Hours

What can you build with imagination, a few simple tools, and a whole lot of cardboard? In this hands-on engineering and design experience, students work in teams to plan, build, and test structures using real materials. They’ll explore architectural concepts like balance, strength, and spatial design while solving problems and thinking like real engineers.

Baking becomes a scientific and cultural adventure in this hands-on class. Children measure, mix, and explore ingredients while learning how temperature changes matter. We'll also explore traditional foods from around the world and taste-test simple, allergy-friendly recipes.
